Your right I dont live in place that uses a lot of salt.
I guess I just took offense to the little things people said about Nissan sorry. I agree though if there was a Stock Pathfinder right next to a Stock Rover I would take the rover. But if there was a Patrol of any vintage I would take it. My Patrol is a 1969 so parts in the US are almost non existent I cant just go to napa and say hey I need some new brakes it does'nt work. I have to yell at the Aussys and get it from them.

Rover junkies saying a car needs proper maintenance is like a (good) soldier saying his rifle needs to be kept clean.
We just happen to spend a bit more time behind a wrench than most, and understand that proper care will provide a long, enjoyable life for your vehicle.
My disco is going on 115k, so phoey on that whole statement.
I do want another throw away car to take some of the miles off of my truck, but that's another battle.
