my1999 Disco will not go into gear, it just goes into neutal when put into drive or reverse

 

How many miles on the truck, did this happen all at once, when was the fluid last checked and changed? Do you have any warning lights showing up on the dash?

Can you make the truck move by putting transmission in 1st gear and then going up through the gears using the shifter? That's the way mine worked after i ruined (spun out) the sprag clutches by accidentally towing the Disco with the xfer case in low range.
