Disco will not turn over this morning

Default Disco will not turn over this morning

Headlights turn on, dash lights are on but still nothing. Have tried jumping vehicle and still it will not turn over.
Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. JFFIII

Did you check the voltage on the battery? Check grounds.

Grounds are all good, new battery, and No go while it is in neutral. I am at a loss here....

Check starter, by jumping large and little posts on soleniod.

Brian, I shorted the small post with a brown wire to the large post with the red wire and nothing. Does the key have to be on or should that have spun the starter?

No, the key does not have to be on. Basically, if you have 12V at the large battery cable...you are replacing the need of the small wires job with the screwdriver jumping current across terminals.

If you have a test light, have someone turn the key to the crank position, while you check the small wire for 12V. If the small wire is carrying 12V as they turn the key, then ignition system is doing its job. And as long as you have a fully charged battery with clean, tight connections and good cables...you should have 12V at large cable on starter. With these two conditions met, starter should crank...if not...most likely starter has gone bad.

Thanks for all the info. You were correct. The starter was bad and I replaced with a new one and now she starts like a champ. I must say that getting the starter out was a major PITA.
