Discovery 2 - 2004 - No Start
#13
Just tried jumping the inertia sensor, still no change. Also tried swapping some fuses and relays around for the related systems. Officially stumped. I didn't change any parts during the few hours I had the fuel tank out, I don't understand why this would cause the injectors to stop firing. Unless this is another example of my car's impeccable timing with things breaking

Quick update from last night, tried spraying fuel into intake after MAF sensor per Extinct's recommendation, this allowed it to run but only for a couple seconds until it burned off the fuel in the intake. The injectors still do not seem to want to activate. It is worth mentioning that a local Land Rover shop installed a used ECU as part of their effort to eliminate a P1171 code (which returned a week later). This ECU change was made two weeks before this problem started. Don't know if this could have something to do with it, I know cars can be fussy sometimes about having different ECUs fitted.

Richard, I wish. I swapped some relays and fuses around the other night, to no avail. I was also able to slightly depress the Schrader-like valve on the fuel rail and found that fuel is making its way to the rail and is getting flow/pressure when the engine is cranking. Would it be possible for the injectors to refuse to fire is there isn't enough fuel pressure?

If you have pressure at the schrader valve then not the fuel pump. Most likely a CPS, you need a spare anyway so buy a spare and swap it. If it solves your problem, done. If not, you have a spare. I like to test with a known good one, so hopefully there is a breaker near you where you can get one off a running truck super cheap.
