First issue is that I am from a LHD country so on my passenger side glovebox does leak when rains. There is always water on the plastic footwell coming directly from the fan kind of middle of the glovebox. It might be due to the air intake at the front. Also it did happen once to the drivers side as well.
Second one, I had a full wet headliner at the front side, soaking wet. Initially I thought I had a leak somewhere from the roof which there might be still but I have completely removed the headliner to see what could be wrong. It has been raining quite a lot but not a single water puddle or something happened inside.
While also removing the headliner, and while detaching rear sunroof button it was wet but there is no leakage. Also my back rear motor does not work so it was good to remove the headliner. I have couple of photos it does look like condensation and I do not have any sign of water at the roof after the half of the rear sunroof
I have cleaned up and its still raining to see tomorrow what is the situation but I plan to seal places so would be happy to take suggestions on where to seal.
Also what could be done for condensation if it is?
There are 3 main points of water ingress, and almost every D2 with a sunroof needs all 3 re-sealed.
1) Exterior hole above A pillar - Google for the Technical Service Bulletin
2) AC Air intake port under the cowl - Requires you to make a custom barrier to prevent water from being sucked into the cabin
3) Sunroofs - The sunroof frame to vehicle body - This is the primary seal that fails on the sunroofs. Ignore people saying that you need to fix the drains or drain tubes, those should never ever see water when the sunroofs are shut. This is a pretty labor intensive repair, because you need to completely remove the sunroofs which requires removal of the headliner. Lots of threads on here about it.
I'd begin working on these before your D2 rusts from the inside out.

Ok thank you very much, yeah I have removed the headliner and I also just saw I have a broken drain on the front sunroof right hand side, tubes are ok but the connection plastic is broken will try to glue it back with sikaflex 221 I have.
I will anyhow pour some sikaflex 221 to the A pillar side.
For the AC intake I have to investigate but most probably the leak is from there because the water droplets are just on the fan of the AC and to the ground. The passenger side carpet is wet too, most probably takes somewhere from the engine side.

Yeah correct I have to replace them most probably while the headliner and everything is out thanks
Please get on top of the water in the footwell asap. We got our D2 for scrap price due to this problem. Water got into a computer (engine ECU IIRC) and it immobilized the vehicle. The water ingress was due to Charmin's #2 point above.

Thank you for the heads up, I see from the weather forecast that from next monday 3 days will be dry where I live so I will tackle these notes especially this one, the water just drips in an interesting way from the fan and connections directly. Will check the pipes again and also before sealing I will pour water down to these areas and see if it leaks as well I will probably just over seal everywhere that is a common issue at the end
@keremctnr you will need to pull the cowl to fix that leak to internal air intake, but be gentle teh cowl will be a bit brittle.
Seal the all round the cowl, with your preferred sealant, and lots of folks have added a rain hood on top it.
Thank you, yes also my cowl is not in a good condition I may need to replace it as well but need to find the part for it first.
For the rain hood I will try to find something if I can cheers
The condensation underside of the roof shows the cabin has great amount of moisture probably soaking the carpets and its vapors hit the cold roof as on a cold beer bottle. Leave the windows down a centimeter as long as possible to help drying. Which will be fruitless as more rain will ingress any time.
I did solve it agressively, very agressively. Removed both sunroofs and put them in dumpster.
Replaced with sheet metal glued with silicone and screwed on the roof. Hoped I had the 'tonsills' to do it 10 years ago before the floors rusted. No more dealing with mold, stains and rot now.

Yes my passenger side(LHD) carpet is terribly wet, I have removed the carpet now, put inside the house to dry left the windows down a little as well. I have rust under the carpets but not towards the engine bay. Also rust at the screw that goes to the under of the car for the seat. Once weather is dry as I do not have a covered area over my garage I will replace the cowl and seal the common points, for the water coming in. It did rain substantially and I do not have leakage over the roof so I am leaning towards under the cowl and then condensation which causes water on the roof then on headliner
