Okay gents here are some photos of the finished product. In terms of before, picture the dash lifting about 1 1/2 inches up from just to the right of the round sensor across to the instrument binnacle.

only mistake was right here, a little too much downward pressure

The hardest ones are the ones behind the instruments. Make sure that the Phillips screw driver bit you use is and EXACT fit for the screw head in terms of depth and span of the head

I'm in the same situation and got my repair kit in the mail today...actually ended up with two somehow (four pieces and two bags of screws). Anyway, what did you use to install it? Does it require removing the gauge cover on the drivers side? I am wondering if you just screw it in at an angle with a screw gun or do you use a 90 degree driver? Also, on my dash the area directly above the radio is peeling up some also. Anyone make a repair in that area? I am thinking I could just make a plate in the same fashion as the repair kit and screw it down there as well.

I used a regular power driver and a 90* driver. The screws go straight in, otherwise they may not catch the underlying material fully. I did not remove the gauge binnacle. Behind the gauges is the toughest part. I worked very slowly and maintain constant pressure on the driver.
I have not need to do any repair around the radio.

Happy to be of assistance. If it were not for this forum I would have put a slug thru the block of mine about two months after I bought it.

It’ll work. The D2 has the same dash.
