Default Discovery II TC and hill descent light after water pump

2004 disco 4.6. Water pump bearings took a dive while I was driving causing the belt to slip off. Once the belt slipped I drove it about a mile or two off the highway to a safe place to park with only the battery light coming on obviously. Towed the car home and ordered a new pump. Decided to let me uncle replace it for me as i was busy and he is a competent retired army mechanic. Once the pump came in I decided to let me uncle drive it to his house 1.8 miles away, again without the belt. He did this from cold and it didn't even get close to overheating. New pump installed and its back running like a top, however the TC and hill descent light are on (no abs light). I wondering whats going on. I know some cars with a lot of electronics will throw codes if the battery runs low, but I've been driving it for 3 days now maybe 200 miles and they're still on. When I turn the key all the lights light up, and the TC and HD light go off an come right back on.

1. I'm wondering if they need to reset? How can i reset them if so.
2.Could water from refilling the reservoir on the passenger have spilled and ruined something electronic over there?
3. Is this just a coincidence that they failed at the same time?

If they came on because the battery was low they will stay on until reset with the correct scanner. Had this happen recently...tho they came back on due to having an ECU ground fault that I have to chase down now.

^Is this correct scanner something I'll have to get done at the dealer?

Not just the dealer. Most independent Rover shops will be able to reset the codes as well. Also look at investing in a scanner tool that will do it all, they aren't cheap, but they are worth while.

Here's a good option. Current price is pretty good. Seems to bounce between $110-150 pretty frequently.
