Stan , I guess I am not alone in my taste in vehicles. I went with an 84 911 because I wanted reasonable reliability and good performance - same philosophy with the LR.
I have the 911 disassembled right now as it is getting its first repaint in its 25yr life. I will rebuild the engine myself when its due into a higher performance unit.
The nice thing about the 911 is the fact that it is not a daily driver so reliability is not a concern (even though it is very reliable) and has limited electronics but I look forward to getting some electronic scan tools to troubleshoot the LR.

If anyone knows of a good 2004 for sale in the Northeast, please pass on the info . I am looking down the east coast to about New Jersey. I am planning to get a PPI done. There are no Disco's for sale within 500miles of here.
