Default Discovery not starting with manual & sport lights flashing

Hi All,
I have a '99 (series 2) with 110,000 miles. During the winter, I usually have to crank several times before the old beast fires up. The other day, after several attempts, the power of the crank (rrrrrrrrrrrrrr!) isn't as loud as if it's losing power to start and the "m" and "s" mode lights are flashing silmultaneously as I crank the ignition. All plugs and wires were just replaced right before Thanksgiving. Tried to jump start, but didn't work and battery is not dead. Any thoughts? Crank sensor? Thanks in advance for your help!

Weak battery?

If the battery isn't in peak condition, the transmission ECU is typically the first to show symptoms. Additionally, trying to crank the engine with a weak battery can quickly ruin a starter.

I'd get the battery tested by a shop/ AutoZone/ etc.
