Default Manual / Sport Mode lights flashing

Hi All,

I bought my first Land Rover on Saturday. A 99' Discovery TD5 ES. I drove it the 200 miles home and about no problems, and set about cleaning it Sunday. However, after finishingI starteditand noticed the green "M" and "S" dashboard lights flashing a long with the lights next to "D" on the transmission.

I had a read through this forum and now dread to think what could be wrong!

Could I have just got too much water under the hood or pressed to many buttons and upset the poor thing?

Many Thanks,
Deano

When the lights flash, that is an indicator of an electrical/tranny issue, if your lucky, it will turn off as it drys. Has it been shifting funny?
Give it a couple of days and see what happens, if still on, go have a mechanic scan for problems.
Good luck.

Thanks Mike,

The drive home seemed fine, the wife even commented what a smooth ride itgave. So hopefullyit does just need drying out.

Watch this space!
Deano.

Great
Glad to hear you didn't have to go to the shop.
