Default Alacantra door replacement disco 2.

I found a great place that I took my Disco in to and they ordered the alacantra took 1 yard for all 4 doors and pulled everything and replaced it. Did a amazing job. Total was 950$. A great deal. Not a easy job. They did it in one day. Its called the Kuztom Shope in Charlotte, NC. Rudy is the owner. Great people. I have uploaded a pic.

Do you remember any tips or tricks to mold the material to the panel. I believe I have the correct material but I'm having difficulty with the wrinkles and folds at the two raise parts that the handle will attach on to.

Thanks,

Great into! Does anyone have a link to where one would buy the fabric that matches the 2003 alpaca beige interior? And also, I have an S model the material does not look like the suede I see in some pics, more of a houndstooth or tweed look. Did they use a different material in the base model?

Edit to add pic...

To answer my own post, It appears that the S models do not have Alcantera inserts in the door cards. Turns out using a cleaner and water on the material took away years of dirt build up on the fabric on the drivers door insert. It must be something synthetic as it looks brand new again.

I had used a material that had a little stretch to it, much like a headliner material, not much stretch but enough to forgo wrinkles. We sold our Disco about a year ago, I have two drivers door inserts (gray and tan) that I had pulled to play around with but never did, could send them to someone to practice for shipping only

Thanks, I was using a steamer to get the fabric to stretch but with not a lot of luck.....maybe I will try a heat gun before finding an upholstery shop.
