YouTuber “Dirt Lifestlyle” just posted a video featuring version 2 of his gullwing door in place of the rear quarter window on a D2. Watch the version 1 video too, it’s pretty cool. I would seriously consider doing something like this but I have a lot of cool stickers on my rear windows that I don’t want to get rid of from places I’m not likely to get back to.

 

There is a company in the Netherlands that makes gull wings windows for the D2. I was tempting to buy them, but it's a bit little pricey.

$550 for that upper shelf- seems like a lot. I built one as literally my first welding project for $50 in materials (tools provided at school). Obviously it's not as nice as the $550 version, but it works just as well for 1/10 the price!
