DIY Injector Cleaners and Alternative O-Ring Part Number
I did take the injector cleaner idea from a YouTube video, though I don't remember the link now.
This one is super simple, guys. You will need a Schrader Valve tool to make the injector cleaning tool, but they're super simple to make and I made a post about how to make one. Here's the link to that.
Ok, no pictures on the first part but go yank a tire valve out of a rim or go down to your local tire shop and ask them for a tire valve. Most tire shops will have dozens laying around since they replace them all day and might even just give you one that they've recently pulled off of a vehicle. You'll have to use your Schrader Valve tool to get the small Schrader Valve out of the center. You will also need one of the plastic valve caps.
Now, buy yourself some brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner as well as some super glue. You'll want to make a small hole in the tire valve cap that you can fit the brake cleaner tube through and then glue it in place to seal it up.
Now slip the tire valve on top of the injector. You will have to remove the O-ring for this step and it should make a pretty good seal.
Now hook it up to the can of brake cleaner and you'll need a 9v battery to work the injector. You will want either an injector plug or some alligator clips to turn the injector on and off.
Now, you've got to be kinda careful on this part. It's easy to put too much pressure and you'll blow the tire valve off of the injector and make a mess everywhere. Hold them together pretty tight by hand, spray just a little. You'll feel the tire valve swell up. Now use the 9v battery to open the injector. Do this a few times to clean out the injector.
Now your injectors are all clean. Now, if you're buying O-rings at your local auto parts store then they almost definitely won't have the one's listed in their computer for the Land Rover in stock. See if they have the ones for an '03 Ford F150 with the 4.6 or the 5.2 V8 in stock. Either will work because they both use the Bosch EV6 style injector the same as our trucks. The only difference is that those trucks use 24 lb injectors instead of the 19 lb injectors that our trucks use, but the o-rings are exactly the same. They come in packs of four. If you only replace the bottom rings then get 2 packs, if you want to replace top AND bottom then get 4 packs.

Nice write up. Might I suggest buying the kits that have the o-rings, as well as the filter baskets and end caps maybe? Only $24.50

I bought the filters from the eBay link above and found the new ones to be about 2mm shorter than the originals. Not sure if this is okay
I also built this DIY cleaner and managed to over pressurize the tire valve, spraying carb cleaner all into my eyes. Word of caution...

I found a good company out of New England on eBay that does fuel injector service. He will sell you a set that have been cleaned, serviced, tested and can send you the flow chart if you want for $128 and he will pay you $30 for your injectors. The ones he sends you are the actual Bosch ones and not a cheap throw off. Not too bad when you think the cheapest place I found to have mine serviced was $17.50 an injector.
