Default Do heated seats turn off when you remove key?

I am afraid I might have left mine clicked on and my car is parked in a lot far away, I am in college right now. Do the heaters turn off if the key is removed?
I was relatively certain that they did, but was worried and wanted to make sure.

Yes, they turn off when the key is shut off.

I almost started out with something like, OMG! You're going to burn your vehicle to the ground!, then realised how pissed I would be were I in your shoes.

You are fine.

Haha, thank you for sparing me, that would have been really funny though. I was just worrying about killing the battery more than anything, although I have read some horror stories about people heater elements messing up and burning the seats

When mine were messed up they just burned my leg. Burning my seat would have been less funny.

x2! My driver-side heating element had a super hot spot in it before finally burning out. I'd like to fix it, but just not sure it's worth the trouble/money...
