Sure, discos are easy to sneak under, but the cats definitely seem difficult to cleanly access and remove quickly.

For what they're worth, it's worth the trouble. I mentioned in the last thread about stolen converters, the last set I sold off a parts truck recently I got $1200 for.

If you are in an area where that kind of crime takes place, I would say yes. Eaiser to get under than most vehicles, easy access to the cats.

Not difficult at all, maybe 15 minutes tops if you are in the dark with no light.
Sawzall will make quick work of it.
I would be concerned with parking the truck in some areas where theft is high.
If you wanted, you could easily remove and install some cheap setup for now lol.

All cats = high demand right now. OEM cats are where the real $$$$ is. Any vehicle off the ground is a target and I've seen some bold video of people looking for certain vehicles in a parking lot in broad daylight and they jump out and cut em off without a care in the world.

If I ever wake up to anyone messing with my property it'll be the last thing they ever do

Wish they would steal mine, I think they are starting to go then insurance would pay for the replacement

If they (the shop) can get replacements that is! There was a recent article in the Seattle Times about the uptick in cat theft, especially from the hybrid models that are so popular here and they interviewed a shop that said it took something like 4-6 weeks to source a replacement cat for a Prius.
