If you have the sensors, then Super Lock your truck and make life difficult for anyone to break in. To answer the original questions, the ultra sonic sensors will pick up a bug flying inside your truck, so yes broken glass will be picked up.

I don't have the "sensors" inside my truck. All i have is the door sensors. I have been using the superlock feature, I was just curious whether it detects broken windows. I don't leave windows open. Since mine doesn't have the sensors, then I guess it won't go off if a window is broken.

I am just wondering, if I were able to get ahold of some of these sensors, would they work in my DII just by plugging them in? I had the headliner out a few weeks back, and did notice the connections there, but I don't know if its different brains for the different types of alarms

Scott- I believe the BCM would need to be programmed for them to be operational. I seem to remember reading in RAVE something about all of the different BCM settings that could be enabled/disabled via Testbook.

I also wondered this. If it indeed does need to be reprogrammed, that would mean going to the dealer XP

For the price of the dealer visit, including your time, you could buy a back up stereo... BTW, with the music turned up loud and proud, you'll not hear that annoying chirp from the front propshaft about to fly apart.

Thats how I like it... As long as the radio goes louder, no worries about the creek, squeaks, ticks, leaks, and banging sound my disco makes.. Because I CAN'T HEAR IT! Of course I do check it out and that way if I can fix it I do... No sense in something stupid ruining the entire rover..
