Default door lock

Hi guys

i have come across numerous posts where the guys complain about the door not being able to open without pulling upthe lock and opening the door simultaneously. The common fault was said to be a spring that needs changing because it loses its tension.CAn some please advise where this spring is situated and how to get to it.

Your help will be appreciated.

Many thanks
Suveer

I have never heard of replacing a spring. If your door does not unlock, you have a bad lock actuator that needs to be replaced.

You can check ebay for the spring you're looking for. I think that its made for D1 and the ad usually says to contactthem for D2 applications.

Hrm, I know I did a supplemental spring for the rear door latch which helped a great deal (combined with cleaning and lubing the handle itself), haven't looked at the fronts yet but will next week when I get home since it looks like I had an acuator fail this week.
