Default Door Lock Issues 99 Disco II

The passenger side doors (front and back) will not unlock unless inside latches are pulled - when locked the tabs cannot be pulled up either. They will lock with the fob, and will also lock when tab is pushed down. Is it handle? lock? other? Grateful for advice please.

hard to tell. doubt it's a mechanical issue for both the front and rear passenger locks at exactly the same time. Could be a BCU issue? ground issue? faulty dash unlock switch? try unhooking the battery for 10 min and then try lock --> unlock again.....

The fact that it will lock with the fob means the lock/unlock motors are working. When you pull up on the door tab to unlock, does it move or not? They are designed to not be able to unlock using those tabs, the tab should be spring loaded down and just move when you pull on it without unlocking. If it does not, you have jammed linkage. If it does, you have a switch issue on that side where the unlock signal is not reaching hte motors. I have not looked at the wiring circuit, but it is possible they are on the same wire at the BCU.
