DISCO II DRIVER DOOR LOCK
caps lock is not cruise control for cool
As for the lock issue...you probably lost the connecting rod from the cylinder to the lock. Does the RKE unlock the doors, just not the drivers door? Please elaborate so we can give you better advice..

i've had my discovery II for three years and try to fix what i can, but i also do not want to make it worse.
when you turn the key in the door handle it does not click to unlock or lock it turns freely.
the door lock button inside still works it locks and um-locks all the doors
at this point i do not lock any of them

That's exactly what mine did. Mine led up to getting accidentally super-locked, and I was completely screwed because the key cylinder did not work. No EKA access...couldn't even get the door popped open because then the alarm would go off and since my key was not sync'd I'd be double screwed.
