Default Door Locks

i realize most likely my articulator has failed but still worth a shot to see if its something else rather than shelling out $60 for a new lock already have enough to pay for. Anyways my back door on the drivers side doesn't lock unlock same for my tailgate door. the thing is though that if i do a "super lock" both of the doors lock. I dont understand maybe someone can explain that to me.

Our door locks have an extra safety lock you will need to replace the actuator for the first lock to work I just replaced mine bought new lock actuator for 140 from the dealer not a hard job
