Why would you want to remove a door?

I have never done it on a LR, but here is how to do it on a 2001 Mitusbishi Montero, this is how my ex-wife did it.
Open the door to be removed, start the trk, put it in reverse and back out of the garage. And just so you know it is easiest if you do it while the car is still new, like the firest 6 wks of ownership. Never mind the red "door ajar" light on the dash, it doesnt mean anything anyway.
If you remove the door pins it should just lift right off. You will have to unplug all the wiring first though.

I second on the checking with local laws. In my state, michigan. If it comes factory then it is legal. But an alter is not legal. I suppose maybe if you had them on, then took them off on private property, not much they can do. But cant answer the original question, sorry
