Default Help me pick an EBC brake pad

I need to replace the pads but can't afford to get the new rotors right now, so I was thinking of getting the "greenstuff" pads on stock rotors. Is this a good idea? If its ok, should I opt for the 2000 series, 6000, or 7000. Any other tips appreciated. My rotor now is flat and without edges or anything so I'd like to move these pads to the new rotors when I get them. What do you all think?

With no lip on the rotors you should be ok.
I have never used any pads other than oem so I don't know
whatEBC pads will do.

If you are not running slotted and drilled rotors then go with ceramic pads, better wear and good stopping power.

Hey Mike,

I don't have slotted/drilled, but I plan on getting them sometime soon which is why I was wondering about adding the greenstuff. I read on a forum that the greenstuff is soft enough to use on the stock thin rotor on D1s.]i

I am not real familiar with the green stuff line. I know some people have eaten up their rotors with their pads, not sure which pads they were running though.
DBA rotors are hard to break in but great to own, not sure what sort of shape a used set of pads will be in after you install the DBA's.
My DBA's have nearly 65,000 mile on the and the Kevlar pads I installed, problem is I don't remember the name of my pads, I know they weren't Green cause they weren't out then.
Your call, do what works for you and let us know how it turns out.
