Dream Trip: Where Would You Go
If you could take a trip/Safari with your Land Rover, gas mileage and $$ not an object, where would you go and why? What uniquechange would you do to your L/R to make it better for the trip (besides the standard things)?
This summer we bought our L/R in San Francisco and did a family road trip back to WI, stopping for a bit to hit some trails in Moab and Colorado,Oregon trail/Pony Express. It was really a blast! Looking forward I'd love to go from Peru down through Bolivia/Chile in the Andies all the way to the southern horn of S. America then up through Argentina. I don't know if I'll ever do it, but it would be fun.
What about you?

The Big Island of Hawaii.
EDIT: Or Oahu even. While in the Army I have had the privilage of riding in the back of these deuces on many occasions. These things are capable of jawdropping amounts of articulation. The terrain in HI is to die for!

Up through MI to theIce Road in Canada and then west to Alaska. Back down the Trans-Continental HWY contiuing along the west side if the US and then across to Flordia and down to the keys.
Turn around and follow HWY 1 as far north as it goes and on to Maine. Then back through Canada to Niagra Falls and finally back home to MI.
My wife and I are actually planning a similar trip with our trk after I retire. And with any luck we will be driving our '97 for this trip.

Start in St. Louis, Senegal and drive COMPLETELY around the continent of Africa keeping the water on my right the entire time.
Now that would be a trip...I was lucky last year to drive through Timbuctu, Mali in the Sahara and now I want more.
