Default Driver door does not open

Good morning from germany

I own a discovery 2 and have a problem with my driver door.
When i close the car with the key remote all doors close, when i try to open it again the driver door won't open. When i tab the remote two times all other doors will open except the driver door. The driver door i have to manually with the key. What could be the problem?
Hope you can help. Best wishes from germany

can you hear a click as the lock activated, on all the other door but not on the drivers door, it could just be a stiff lock, as you will probably need ot remove the door panel, to see if it the solenoid is operating, check the lock at the same time, , a little penetrating oil goes a long way to solving a lot of small problems

I've tried it a few times and i can not hear a click on the driver door when i tab the remote to open but i hear a click on all other doors. When i tab the remote the second time all other doors click again and open. Only when i tab the remote to close the door i hear a click on the driver door and all other doors and they close. I can only open the door manually with the key.

Driver door lock motor brushes are worn out. I have replaced them with ebay lexus motor brushes but it is involved. If you are not very good mechanically you might be better with a new door lock mechanism.
