Arrow Driver Side Heated Seat Doesn't Work

The driver side heated seat in my Disco doesn't work, and actually hasn't for quite some time since it hasn't really been enough of an issue to motivate me to fix it. However now that I have a fair amount of spare time I would like to get it working again.

Is there a common failure point on the heated seat that should be a starting point to fixing this issue?

this happened to me too and it turned out to be a loose plug/connector under/behind the seat.. reseated the plug and the heater worked again... took all of 2 minutes and no tools...

hope your as lucky as I was....

cheers,

Probably, putting an ohm meter on the heating element is a good place to start if the button lights up.

Here's pix of connectors. The seat cushion and the seat back elements are in series, so one connector takes down both heating elements.

I've got the same issue so i'd be interested in seeing what happens here. My Passenger works fine, but the light doesn't come one on the driver side, making me thing there is no power to it.

Any progress here? Thinking of trying to fix mine next week.

Anything come of this? I have power to my switches, but no heat in the seat. Going to have to find some time to check things out.

Heating element wire within the seat itself burned through at a hot spot and prevented the electrical circuit from being completed. Reestablished the connection and now works just fine once again.

Street,

Nice to see this fixed. What did you use to reestablish connection? I assume you just connected the ends back together. Did you solder them? Use a jumper wire? Thanks.

Was simply able to solder them back together.

If needed I wouldn't see an issue in using a suitable piece of wire to make ends meet however.
