Driver Side Rear Brake Problem. Help!
New the forums here, go easy on me!
I just did my first real road trip in my 2001 D2! love this vehicle, however when I arrived at my destination I hear metal grinding in the driver side rear. I took to the shop and they said I was metal on metal with that brake. They mentioned that I was about 50% on the other side. So something caused this side to wear down much faster.
They took a look at the caliper and said that it looked good and they greesed the slides up.
Fast forward 500 miles later on new rear rotors and pads (both sides). That same rear driver side looks like its grabbing. I noticed a significant amount of brake dust and a smell coming from this side. plus the wheel itself is warm to the touch where as the other 3 wheels are all ambient temps.
Any thoughts here?
Thank you all in advance.

It can also be a collapsing brake hose on that corner. When brake hoses get old, they will delaminate inside and cause a one-way valve type situation with the brake fluid and pressure and never allow the caliper to stop dragging
