Driver Side Window Quick Fix?

I haven't done the rear windows yet, but I believe they're similar to the fronts. I'm pretty sure that the motor can't be forced. What you could do, is take apart your door cover, unbolt the regulator so it's hanging freely, and then move the window back into the closed position. I'm not even sure this would work, though, because I think the regulator would basically be hanging inside the door so you'd have to duct tape it or something to keep it from banging around, and the window might slide back down into the door anyway. You could brace the window with a piece of wood or something.
For all of the effort (and the fact that you're doing 80% of the work of replacement anyway), I'd just try to fix it asap. Have AB or Rovers North express ship a regulator/motor and you'll be on your way.
P.S. I did a write-up on front window replacements in this forum if you need some tips.

Thanks for the help. Here's what worked.(for now) I took the bolts out except the top right one so the motor and regulator could swing on that. pushed the window up and cut a piece of wood and jammed it in there. so the window is up and it gives me time to find the part, have it shipped to me and install it.
