Default Driver's door window does not move

Hi guys,

My driver's side window will not go down or up. Luckily it's stuck in the up position currently but it doesn't work. When I hit the switch I can hear the clicking as if that end of it is working, but the window doesn't work.
Have any of you experienced this? What do I need?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's likely a regulator. Google and you'll find lots of info/instructions on how to fix it.

I thought he was referring to a sound at the regulator motor (in the door), but I could be mistaken. It's not totally clear.

I had a similar issue. I took the panel off and I was expecting to replace the regulator so I unplugged the connector and checked for power and looked at the regulator to see what I was in for. Just for kicks I took the end of a hard plastic screwdriver and rapped the regulator a few times pretty hard. I then plugged it back in, boom back on line. Seems it jammed up internally. Worth a try.

It was the switching/clicking noise by the actual switch. No noise by the door, but the other windows make that same noise as if electricity is being activated by the switch.

Same here, no indication the regulator was being energized. Faint noise at the switch.

Good luck

Same thing happened to me. Bought a D2 last summer with a dead window. When I pressed the button I heard a clicking sound.
Pull all the panel and bits off the door. Atlantic British has a good video for this. Then unplug the regulator. Do an electrical test to see if there is a signal on the plug going to the regulator. If there is then it's your regulator. They are cheap and easily to replace. Just make sure you are patient. My window mount was totally rusted out as well. Depending on the state of your Disco you might want to buy the regulator with the entire window mechanism.

The issue was a bad window regulator and switch. Thanks for your help.
