Now i have never changed the coolant on my truck plan to do it next weekend.
Anyways my drivers footwell builds up heat big time and its starting to make me a little nervous. any help appreciated!

If it is glowing red what does that mean? (my understanding it means its burning fuel) i know i have a code thrown for an 02 sensor dont know the number I'll pull them here in a min. could a miss fire cause it to glow red assuming thats whats happening?

And, yes, this is all assuming the CAT is actually overheating. I've had it happen, and it does cause the floor to get really warm. Of course, your issues might be heater related, or something else, I just mention this since I've experienced it.
I honestly think thats it because the truck has always been serviced by LR so i can assume the heater was bled correctly but I'm going to do a coolant flush and bleed today. Then tonight ill check it.
I noticed the heat started building up after i had to floor it for about 10 seconds to pass someone on a 2 lane passing road.
