My drivers seat heater stopped working this AM. When I press the button down the light goes on , but does not stay on, and a clicking sound seems to be coming from under the stearing wheel. The passenger side is working fine.
I do not have a manual for an 02 Disco. I do not think is a fuse issue, since they light does come on, it just does not stay on, but not sure. Not sure what the clicking sound under the steering wheel is when I press the switch. Does anyone have any idea.

i cant use mine, i think its shorted, it has a hotspot, and burns your rear, and starts to make a burning leather/foam smell, so mine stays off, the passenger one works though, makes the girlfriend happy :P

 

Check your connectors under the seat are secure. If they are, check the current going through them and confirm you are getting current. If you are getting consistant current, take a look at the heating element.

 

When my switch crapped out it did the same as yours. New switch. No problem. Make sure you get the correct switch. On my 04 they are not the same from left to right seats.
