I have a 2000 Disco II and the driver's side window is stuck about half inch from top, does not want to go up or down. Any particular trick to disassembly of the door? any easy fix? Thanks, and yes I am a noob to the board and to Rovers but not to offroad

 

Had the same thing happen to my 01 Discovery. The plastic wheel in the actuator is more than likely broken, assuming you hear the motor still going. I removed the inside door panel and accessed the motor/acuator assembly and replaced it with a new actuator. The toughest part is dealing with the inner vapor barrier if you ask me. It is a do it yourself if you are just a little patient.
Look for a land rover discovery workshop manual online (CD for the computer). Ebay is a good start. Best 15 bucks I ever spent! good luck.
