driveshaft bolt said bye-bye today
Put new driveshafts on the 00 D2 last year (Tom Woods front driveshaft, genuine Rover on the rear).
Today going 75 on the highway I heard a ringing noise for about a minute, that I chose to ignore as maybe the diesel truck next to me, followed by a clank and a bump. I was expecting to have lost drive as it sounded "not good". But I did not lose drive, and gained a nice driveline vibration. Pulled over, looked underneath. One of the front driveshaft front bolts was obviously missing. All had been torqued to spec last year but I guess it either broke or loosened. All others seemed hand tight but will verify. Drove home slowly without issue.
So, there's that. I guess. First time losing a driveshaft bolt. Go check your tightness!
