Default Driveshaft rebuild

So i've been researching the driveshaft rebuild information for the Discovery IIs and I was originally under the impression that there were problems with the shaft itself. Now from what I can tell it looks like just replacing the U-joints with grease-able ones and replacing the center joint bearing. Is that it or is there something I'm missing?

Thats is man, maybe check the balance of the shaft and make sure you mark it before you pull it out. That way you put it back in the same way you took it out.

Nope, you're not missing a thing...the driveshafts are stout enough and of good quality...the ujoints get baked by the near cat and get dripped on by the AC line...replace the ujoints and centering ball and you're good to go.

...like you've already seen there are a ton of threads on the ds issue...dig em up for part numbers...

For probably 95% of drivers the stock propshaft is fine. If you really pound your Rover then an upgrade to a GBR or TW is probably in order.
