ok here we go agin brand spanking new alt tested at the store out of the bow brand new battery tested good only puts out 11.88 on the car from the alt im pulling my hair out need to know get new alt or could it be the truck please help friday supost to get 3 feet of snow help help help

 

An alternator should put out between 13.6 and 14.4 volts, if not, it is junk.

 

i know this im just saying it tested fine and 20 min. later when on the car its only putting out 11.88 could the truck be causing this i mean this is the 5th one come on

 

witch wires are witch on the back of the alt do they put out volts or grounded. the rave manual is no help i cant find anything in it?

 

The other fog light looking switch is probably for your rear fog lights, a requirement in europe and the UK.

 

what brand alternators are you using ? Some of the guys on this forum have had trouble with Advance or Autozone, also it's quite possible that some of your connections are not good.......such as a corroded ground ( there's more than one ) you should at this point check them all, start at the alt and battery and check everything you can see
