Default e-brake adjustment

The e-brake lever on my 99 DiscoII seems to be very simple. It has gear teeth and a rachet on the lever. The cable comes directly thorough the floor and connects to the lever with a pin and clip. I can't see any kind of adjustment on top. So I followed the cable down through the floor to the drum brake backing plate, no adjustment found. Once inside the drum the only thing I see that can back these pads off is the spring on the bottom end of the cable itself.

If it has no adjustment then my next question is, is the only way to adjust the thing is with a new cable and pads?

Thanks again for your help,

Shawn

Default RE: e-brake adjustment

Shawn-There is a adjustment for the parking brake. Do you have your Rave cd yet? It tells you in there how to do it. I need to do it to mine but it has been low on the priority list.
My wife drove about three miles with it on and wore the shoes down.
www.roverrenovations.com and type in rave cd into the search field and they will send you on free.
