Default Parking brake adjustment

Parking break has gotten soft recently. It still works, but I have to pull the lever ever higher.

Anyway, I followed the Rave manual and climbed underneath to adjust the tensioner at the drum. I craned it tight, then loosened it 1 and 1/2 turns as per procedure. That didn't seem to help.

I then went to Phase 2 and removed the console switches.

The manual tells me to look for an adjustment screw to tighten the cable.

I can see the cable and where it passes through a metal thingie of some sort, and there's a rubber "cone" at the top...but I don't see anyway to adjust it.

There should be something obvious there, but I don't see it.

Anyone have a picture or can give better instructions than the manual?

Thanks.

Well now my parking brake handle itself seems to be broken. The spring seems to be missing or worn down. When I press the button down it wont come back up.
