Default E-Brake Boot Replacement?

So I have gradually updated my interior with new wood, floor mats, visors etc. All that is left is the ugly e-brake boot which is all worn and cracked.

1st of all how do you get it off and 2nd what are some good ways to replace? My wife suggested buying some leather and having her sew into a pocket and stick on. But something tells me I'm better off buying one

I found mine on eBay - think it was listed as a gaiter. Think I paid about $15 for the brake and shifter boots. They are easy to replace - the new ones will come with instructions.

Someone from another forum posted this ebaystore: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/TOP-GAIT...0Q2em14?_pgn=1

Did you buy from them? They are way in UK!

I took mine apart. I then laid it out on stiff paper and made a pattern. I spent $4 on leather grain pleather which my wife sewed. Looks good as new (better in my opinion because I like the leather grain vinyl better than the original). I did spend $2 on super glue so the whole ordeal set me back $6.

The mount is just a spring that kind of hooks/snaps into the center console.

Made my own last week took 2 tries to look perfect
Ended up modifying it a little since the pleather is a little thicker
than the original. funny I was thinking on posting this and offering
them to members if there was an interest...

Default Try this

Go to redlinegoods.com. This is where I had my custom transfer case, e brake, and console covers made. In fact, the installation instructions for the Land Rover are actual pictures from my truck. Highly recommend!

Made one for my p38. Kind of a challenge.
Hardly worth making when you can find them on ebay for 40 bucks
This material I used was 40.00/yd, super soft and plyable.
It came out nice I think..
