easy steering wheel fix!
well It has full tank but I went ahead and took the pic with the ignition off.. I figured I probably overfilled it! that would just be embarrassing
okay so here a few install tips I found to be helpful, mostly learned after I failed to do them and would have made it all much easier to install. for one when you first start the cord through, pull it half way that way you can work both directions as you stitch it up. this is good for a couple reasons, one your not pulling 6' of cord through every stitch, and two you can end anywhere you want by moving both directions till your happy with the meeting point. also the knot you tie off with. is much easier to hide behind one of the horn button spokes rather in the middle of the wheel. I also think that an "in-out" pattern looks a lot nicer than the "whip-stitch" looping pattern they recommend. all in all it came out very nice and feels awesome. I wish it covered the spokes a little better but it doesn't look bad. Most would think it was factory.
I wonder if I could talk them into leaving a little extra leather on so i could cut it to fit the spokes myself... How willing are they to customize your order? It looks AWESOME... I hate these forums, I get so much Disco envy it's ridiculous.
If anything I would just call them and ask if you could carefully remove the original and send it to them to duplicate... they are easy to talk to, just call.
This one fits perfectly tight. feels better than factory. granted my factory one had 170k on it. I believe I got a 15 5/8. I'm very happy with it.

Anyone thinking about doing this, take note of this email I got back from wheelskins:
Jason,
We can’t alter the design. We made them all the same just with different measurements. Our cover can’t go up the spoke! What some customers have done is ask for some scrap leather to match and then they line the spike with the leather then install the Wheelskins!
