Default Easy straightforward way to add transmission fluid?

Can someone tell me how to easily add transmission fluid to a D2? There has to be an easy way!

Used a pump similiar to this one, it screws onto a quart container and has a hose that goes into trans opening.

Sta-Lube Fluid Oil Grease Hand Pump - Durable ABS Plastic | eBay

The vehicle has to be running to fill. I usually put the discovery on jackstand and have rear, ever-so slightly, lower than the front, fill under fluid comes out (have a drain pan in place) and then raise the rear until a small 1/8 stream is eventually all that is coming out.

Slight edit to Deputy's post

The vehicle has to be running to fill. I usually put the discovery on jackstand and have rear, ever-so slightly, lower than the front, fill under fluid comes out (have a drain pan in place) and then raise the rear and run through the gears until a small 1/8 stream is eventually all that is coming out.

I always use a standard kerosene pump/siphon pump. The clear kind with the orange bulb that you squeeze. I use it for trans, transfer case, and differentials. A little slow for gear oil but perfect for trans fluid. Plus, they're like $4 at Lowe's.

I got a cheap pump up sprayer like this and cut the tip off.
Pump it up, insert in hole and pull the trigger.

does the d1 have a dipstick going into the pan? If so that might be next on the list
