Had something equally horrible with an older BMW a while back.... ended up getting a piece of flat stock, cutting it so it fits within the circumference of the pulleyand drilling two holes the same distance apart as any two of the bolts.Cut a square hole in the middle so you can put a half in breaker bar in the middle... this will allow you to hold the pulley still by locking two of the three bolts while undoing the third... It's a complete pain and on principle, it shouldn't be like that, but in the end it's what I had to do. I tried to draw a picture of this in paint, but couldn't get it uploaded properly.
