Default ECU BCU & Gauge Install

I am looking for any last minute advise on install as I got my parts in the mail. I have read through the forums and found that I need battery unhooked, need to push hood switch in when reconnecting battery, and turn key to position 2 for ten minutes after install to sync with the IDM.

Is there anything else that I should be aware of?

I'm pretty sure you'll need to perform the "EKA"
The steps are outlined here:

Default Eka

I believe that would only be needed if the donor vehicle had been immobilized.

It was installed. I let it sinc up with the IDM for 5 minutes then fired it up. It fixed another problem that I had with the key not coming out of the ignition. I thought that was a bad xyz switch so I lucked out.
