well i am glad that i did it. the efficiency is worth it. really i like the noise reduction. this is a super easy set up. i still haven't done a mpg test, but i'm sure it helped a bit. the little supplied controller is still working fine. i have added an over ride and a kill switch. all is good and there is no risk of me going back to the 747 clutch set up.

So is your original water pump still connected or have you removed it entirely from the belt drive?

If the fan saves you 0.5 to 1 gallon per tank it will pay for itself eventually. Plus you may get 5HP -10HP from it. Just wondering how well the on/off temp sensors work? Seems like a Win/Win

There are many plusses to dumping the viscous coupling in favour of electric fans apart from one. If the fans fail or the temp sensors fail you're stuffed and there ain't much you can do about it on an empty motorway at 4am in the morning, that's my biggest fear. Sensors you can bridge out to run the fans continuously but if fan motors expire it's a nightmare.

This is a good reason to use a readily available transplant rather than a custom kit.

But yet almost all modern vehicles are no going with electric fans, electric power steering and electric water pumps.

You take a chance at any time with any vehicle on the road.
