Default Electric to manual seat conversion

Has anyone done an electric to manual seat swap? Tips? I'd prefer to keep my leather seats and just swap out brackets (with a little fabbing if necessary).

watching this with interest. The only time I ever move my seats is to get at things or get bigger things in. The electric mechanisms are a waste for me. If I could get my disco to lose some weight and gain some reliability, this seems like a good way to do it.

I’m assuming get a seat and rails from another disco if they even made a disco with manual seats ? Maybe some of the diesel versions ?

My 94 D1 has manual seats. Not as comfortable as the 96 electric seat, so I though about swapping, because the 94 is my keeper. But the mountings are quite different, so I'll keep the seats where they are. I'm sorry to mention this in the D2 section, I'm assuming the D1 seats work for D2s.
