Default Electric seat Problem

Hi all. I have a 2003 TD5 with a passenger seat half reclined. The motor works fine up and down to this point. Seems as though it reaches max height then shuts off. Max height being half way. Is there a gear or teeth that may have slipped? Thanks for any help.

Default Electric seat answer

Self diagnosis , Hope it might help others. Motor and gears OK . Frayed wire shorting at certain height. Had to remove seat to isolate problem.

Best to take your body weight off of the seat when adjusting. Helps not to blow the 40 amp fuse and saves the mechanisms.
