Default EMERGENCY!! Front drive shaft!

Hey all.. I have an 02 Disco Series II.. I was trying to replace the u joints on the front when I was too far into it and realized I need someone else to do it... Now the vehicle is immobilized... I read a bunch of posts about turning the bolt on the trans or cdl? But I do not think mine has it?? need some help.. THis is my wifes truck and she had to stay home from work today... gonna send out the shaft to get done, but was hoping there was a chance I could lock it to run just the back wheels until I get the shaft back. Right now it is a giant paper weight!

negative. your truck doesnt have CDL so you can't engage it on the TC. it will continue to be a paper weight. get the shaft to a drive line shop and have them do the work should only take an hour or two and make sure to grease the centering ball kit.

Do you have all the parts for the rebuild? where are you stuck? The u-joints are easy but the centering ball can be a pain. If you have the parts any shop should be able to rebuild it that day.

So, you have screwed up once, don't do it again. Do you have the parts, u-joints and a centering ball, if so, what brand. Now that you are in trouble, don't go to the first shop that says they can build it unless they are a drive line shop with lots of experience or maybe a tranny shop.
Don't pay over $125 or they will be getting you again.
