Is it the end for us all in the UK
Tony Blair is now talking heavily about green tax and the topic of 4x4 tax is in the press again. Daily Mirror yesterday was estimating £5,000 per 4x4 car per year. Surely they can't do that. Maybe they were referring to a tax on brand new cars in the showroom but it would be silly on people with a 10 year old 4x4.
If it does come true for £5,000 tax on every 4x4 per year, it would be the end of 4x4 for a lot of us which would be unfair on those of us who genuinly need them like boat owners, farmers, caravanners, builders etc etc.
I do my bit by riding a motorcycle to work and back and use my Landrover Discovery when I truly need 4x4 so it'd be cruel to throw a £5,000 tax at me.
