Default Engine Disabled?

I am going nuts here.

Tried to start my land rover last night and the alarm and whatnot went off and the engine will not start for me. I have a Disco 2, 2001. My keyless entry worked at first and now that wont even lock or unlock the rover. I can get power in the car like the radio ect, but wont start. There has to be a way to get a code or something, but i am reading too many ideas that are nto working for me.

I replaced the battery last week, that should not have anything to do with it. The red light on the dash blinks continously and then will slow down to normal mode.

The last thing i want to do is leave it on the street and get a ticker or get it towed.

Anyone know the code or the secret for the engine to be enabled once again>

Thanks

Just an idea assuming your battery is charged...

There is an inertia switch under the hood that kills the engine in case of rollovers. A couple years ago my truck was in the shop for new plugs and wires and they called and told me my truck was dead. I told them to reset the switch and it came back to life. No idea how they triggered it.

Look in your manual for the location and how it is reset.

Try resetting your alarm, use your key and lock and unlock the door 3 times, then try starting the engine.

Will it not turn over or not start?

So it cranks but wont start and you ran the battery dead trying to start it.
Is that correct?
If so charge the battery and then replace the crank position sensor.
You can buy one at AutoZone for about $60.

Charge the battery and go from there.
