Default Engine Replacement - Need Advice

I am looking to replace my D2 engine. I have a blown head gasket, oil leaking out of timing cover as well. I'm also worried that I may have the dreaded slipped cylinder liner so I figure that I might as well go all in. The truck only has 70k on it and is in reasonably good shape. Any recommendations?

As of right now, I am planning on just getting a rebuilt engine through British 4x4 in NC. Anyone have experience with them? I am either going to ship the truck up there or have them ship the engine and have it installed locally.

I had a local independent shop (wonderful place!) install a new long block from Atlantic British and have been very pleased. Now over 4 years running and still doing great!

I have never dealt with British 4x4. I go by there occasionally and the parking lots are slam full. I have tried contacting them a few times and was never able to get ahold of anyone. I rebuild my engine my self and it turned into a bit of a nightmare. What started off as saving 2-3k ended up cost 2-3k more than what I could have brought a motor from Atlantic British for. Long story short, the machine shop broke a one of the top hat liners they installed and it didn't show up until 1k miles later. After a lot of fighting they finally replaced the damaged liner for free but I was still on the hook for basically another rebuild.

At 70k, why not try to pin the sleeves? Reseal the block.

Easiest out if the rig and on a stand.

I'd consider the guys at TWS motors. They seem to do do really high quality work: https://thewedgeshopstore.com/

You could get the cylinders pinned for $2k, or do it yourself, its not that hard, and is likely only the drivers side. seems drastic to put in a new motor for this, if you are reasonably competent or adventurous you could do it all. There are plenty of stories here about AB and Turner motors having problems, there is not guarantee that what you get is perfect. Esp for the $$.
Seems like you may be jumping to a conclusion. 70k is very low mileage for the issues described.
