Engine Replacement Questions

I had the same chunk of block in my oil pan from the bottom land of one of the sleeves. Noticed after taking the pan off to do the front cover pump etc after cleaning out oil pan. It was on the 2nd cylinder from the back on the driver side. I waited about 6 months and decided to go after it and try to pin that liner however I couldn't put the drill to the block with confidence due to exhaust in the way etc. 132k miles. Thing purrs like a kitten until it warms up and then TICK TICK TICK
Wish there was a $5k is engine swap option or a way to stick a spot welder in there and melt the steel liner to the block from the inside.

It was a huge pain to pin them exhaust and all had to come out! I bought a pancake adapter to add an oil pressure gauge and it fit on the truck but the filter would not fit on the nipple so I just took it off. I will try to get either a new nipple or the right filter so I can check the pressure. The other issue I have is when it is warm it runs fine but sometimes when you stop or back up it will die but not always and it will always start right back up. I have no clue what that is.
