I have the ticking at idle too, but only when hot. And it is intermittent, I do not notice a clear correlation to the temp. It goes away when increasing the revs slightly (900..1000) or after driving a few hundred miles, but the next day it is back. Recently I switched to a 82C thermostat, but that makes no difference. Since the frequency of the knocking sound is clearly at 6.25Hz (= 375rpm = camshaft rotation rpm at idle) I assume it is something around the camshaft/lifters. Wouldn't a slipping liner tapping at 12.5Hz (=750rpm = idle)?

how many mikes on your truck ? If it's been ticking for a while and the 180 stat doesn't help than drive it to the ground and buy a new engine. Unless you can figure out it's something else

Your temps are still way too high. I use distilled water with 2 bottles of purple ice + the 180 grey T stat and get 183-188 with spikes to 190+ in heat. And that is with a 10 year old crappy radiator. Once I put this brand new high volume 40mm 100% aluminum in with 14 fins inch2 it's going down to 175-180 for sure.
